The world around us has an abundance supply of distinct energy.
When doing energy work, you may need to recharge yourself or build up your energy.
You can empower yourself by understanding the different energy types to absorbing energy.
Different energy enhances our work. It’s time to get down to the specifics.
We can learn how to best use our tools to effectively create a change.
How to Absorb Energy
You are an energetic being.
The universe also carry energy wherever it goes.
Energy can flow in the wind, travel through the ground, or comes from the sun.
Touch is connection. Feel is awareness.
When the light of the sun touches your face, you are absorbing the energies of the sun (and getting vitamin D).
Close your eyes and feel the vibrant life of sun’s energy.
To become conscious of absorbing energy, you breathe it in as you visualize the energy circulating throughout your body.
Visualization is using your mind to control the energy movement.
For example, the sun reaches your face. This means the sun’s energy touches your physical energy.
Visualize the feeling of the sun’s energy on your face and use visualization to circulate it throughout the body.
Mix it with your own energy.
It becomes you and you absorb it whole.
Since the dan tien, Solar Plexus or Hara, is the source of your energy, breathe the energy in here before circulating throughout the body.
Most people use their hands or feet to feel and absorb energy.
We often associate hands and feet to feel something and it is usually the most sensitive part of our body.
But you are not limited to hands or feet.
Your skin can breathe.
You can absorb through any part of your body.
Since pore breathing takes in a lot of energy at once, it can overwhelm beginners and will make them sick.
10 Sources of Natural Energy
Here are the 10 sources of natural energy.
You will learn its basic quality, it’s emotional and mental effects, and the good/bad side of it.
Even though I say “Good/Bad”, it is only to mean whether your use is constructive or destructive.
There is nothing in the universe that is good or bad except man’s folly imagination.
Some of us are drawn to a specific source of energy.
If you find your natural talent, that is the energy you thrive best.
The sun is the light.
It is the life giving principle.
The basic quality of light is penetrating, shining, and expanding.
In ancient astrology, the sun is the center of the solar system.
As the center, it also represents our personal center – our core or who we are.
With that said, there are many uses for it including but not limited to: healing, physical health, clarity, ego, and the basic source for all other energy.
The sun have phases. Its strengths is determined from the phases.
From Winter Solstice to Summer Solstice, sun energy is building.
The rest of the year, it is waning.
Drawing Sun Energy
Whenever the sun’s light touches your face or skin, soak in the sun’s heat into your body.
As the sun is light, the moon is darkness.
Light and darkness are siblings, none can exist without the other.
If light represents life, darkness is the absence of light and, therefore, represents death.
But accompanying death, there is tremendous power within it.
The moon is considered a mysterious force.
It tides and guides the universal energy flow, but not necessarily wills it.
The moon affects the subconscious mind and psychic energies.
It is, during a specific phase, also where women will find their own bleeding.
The effects of moon energy depends on the moon phases.
A full lunar cycle takes approximately 28 days to complete.
Generally, waxing moon is movement while waning moon is reflective (Don’t seek to improve when it wanes).
Full moon is power at its fullest.
Then there is new moon or dark moon, which is when you should never exercise any energy during this time.
Drawing Moon Energy
Draw in the moonlight energy by breathing in the darkness at night.
Staring into beautiful, mysterious, luminous body can gain insight into your own power.
The basic qualities of water is coldness and shrinkage.
When water pours, it is cold and it dissolves everything.
It is shapeless, formless, and flows through all things.
Water = Cold and Moist
Sitting near a lake can give you water energy into your body.
Hot water on a cold day is beneficial. Cold water on a hot day is best.
But water in general will give you a vitalizing boost.
Each person has water within themselves.
Physically, our body is made of 70% water.
On an emotional level, water is the home of your emotions and maternal instinct.
Mentally, water is your ability to be adaptive and receptive.
Water’s constructive use is for healing, nourishing, and protective.
Water’s destructive use is dividing, disorder, and dissecting.
Drawing Water Energy
To absorb water, dip yourself in water and breathe the energy in (do not literally breathe water).
The basic qualities of fire is heat and expansion.
Flames are hot and it spreads through everything, expanding in its wake.
Fire = Hot and Dry
When you want to warm yourself in winter’s cold air, stay by a fireplace warms your body.
Each person has fire within themselves.
On a emotional and mental level, fire is a spark of movement and extension.
Use the energy of fire to build courage, creativity, productivity, motivation, and action.
Fire in constructive use is to use the passion to create and inspire.
Fire in destructive use is to burn others and destroy.
Drawing Fire Energy
You can absorb the fire outdoors or use a candle and visualize the energy mixing within your body.
Feel the warmth as you breathe in fire.
Wind or air is the neutral equilibrium between water and fire.
The basic quality of wind is warm and balance.
Wind/Air = Hot and Moist
The hotness of fire combined with the moist of water creates the thin layer that is air.
Each person has an airy element within themselves.
Our mind and speech is the mediator between fire, the active, and water, the passive.
This means that it balance any extremes of emotions so that you can continually perform smooth circulation of energy.
Therefore, it is neutral and represents balance.
(If the wind becomes a hurricane or a storm (water + chaotic wind), then it becomes chaotic energy.)
Use the energy of air for balance, communication, and intelligence.
Because wind is the mediator, it is neither constructive nor destructive.
Drawing Wind/Air Energy
Stand where there is a good breeze of wind blowing.
Feel the energy of the wind moves through your hair as it touches your skin and clothes.
Absorb the energy as it flows pass you.
The basic quality of Earth is solidity and strength.
It is the binding force of all three other elements (water, fire, air) into solidity and time-space bound.
The ground doesn’t move. When you build a house, you build it upon solid walls.
Earth = Cold and Dry
Each person has an element of earth within themselves.
The obvious part is that our physical body is made from dirt and soil.
Emotionally and mentally, Earth is solid character.
Use the power of earth for confidence, strength, and reliability.
Constructive use of Earth is for building character.
Destructive use of Earth is being stubborn.
Drawing Earth Energy
To absorb energy from the Earth, take the energy from the deep soil ground instead of on top trees.
The more you are on the ground, the more connected you are to the very center of Earth.
You can replenish yourself from the energy of the planet itself.
Life forms include people, animals, and living plants.
Taking energy from life forms is called being an “Energy Vampire”.
(This is included for educational purposes.)
Taking the energy of the life form means that you receive the energy of whatever they have.
Therefore, the effects depend on what is taken from the life form.
If you take energy from people, they will get tired and then die.
The same is said for animals and living plants.
You can take energy from people through permission.
But animals and plants can’t give consent and they need the energy they have to live.
Drawing Life Energy
Visualize the energy being drained out of the life form.
You feel the energy and breathe it in.
You visualize mixing in dan tien. And you circulate it around your body.
When you do this, also stay aware of your own energy.
I like to imagine my energy as white. As I take in fire, I blend white or red.
It is not necessary to have an actual fire, wind, or thunder to absorb the energy.
Because all energy are essentially the same universal energy manifest in different wavelengths, you can meditate and grasp the feeling of the energy.
If you can remember the feeling, despite the natural source actually being there, you can still absorb the full benefit.
But being as it may, we are physical beings and our mind likes to see something “real” and tangible.
It is, therefore, much more stronger if the energy is visible to the human eyes.
