What we’ve learned from society is completely wrong.
The way we grew up was to fit into a framework of standard beliefs that don’t empower us. When we have bad beliefs, we have bad habits.
It’s time to take back our power and unlearn the beliefs that don’t help us.
Learning is a skill. Unlearning is also a skill. I will tell you why unlearning can help you so that you can begin to learn the right knowledge.
Why should I Unlearn?
The more non-beneficial thoughts and beliefs you have, the more limitations ingrained in you and the more negativity it brings to your life.
People are creatures of comfort. If we focus on negative experiences long enough, we start a negative cycle of worrying and complaining and we stay there for a long time.
We subconsciously send negative messages to the Universe that this is what we want.
Like the Zen, we learn so much of everything else but ourselves, our knowledge is like the overfilled cup of tea. Unlearning is emptying the cup and filling it up with the right beliefs.
To unlearn our bad habits is to unlearn our bad beliefs.
- Accepting an input
- Processing and storing information
- Needs conscious desire to acquire new information
- Conscious learning and…
- Discarding of old beliefs
Creation is not limited to what you know, it is ongoing and you are always controlling your life.
Every human being are born with the ability to create his own thoughts. Thoughts manifest unto reality.
Unlearning Bad Habits and Beliefs
Here are the common beliefs we have that don’t help us. Our habits reflect our beliefs so unless we know our beliefs, we are ineffective in changing our habits.
- The common belief that thoughts have no impact on your reality.
In our logical society, we unfortunately believe that human thoughts have no impact on the world. Our world is larger than logic.
This explains why only 1% of the people are truly happy and content, because not everyone is paying attention to what they are manifesting.
When we become conscious of our acts and beliefs, we can change them.
If we want to unlearn a habit of scratching our chin, for example, we first have to make conscious effort to noticing us scratching.
- You are bound by fate and must live in accordance to how you are born.
This belief is harmful because it limits our ability to see all the positive opportunities in our life.
All opportunities exist, they never left, only realized. The only thing we must do is focus on the direction of what we want.
When we believe we are bound, we no longer have the energy to strive and create. This is metaphor of a living zombie.
- The belief that you are not “good” enough
Why are babies cute? It is because they are pure…in every thought and intention.
But when we grew up, we are programmed by our environments to pick up wrong beliefs believing that this is how the world works. When we have this type of belief, our habits reflect in putting effort for mediocrity.
For example, a worker in the office wants a promotion, but doesn’t believe he is qualified, smart, or educated enough as his other colleagues. So when a promotion comes up, he shies away from it and avoidance became his habit.
Realize that you are the creator of your reality. You are in control of your thoughts. And you can always make a change right now.
- We learn something by believing it to be true.
- To unlearn, know why we have those bad habits
- Find the core beliefs
When you change your belief, you change your life.
