There are many books on spiritual and occult knowledge.
Any person who can read volumes of books has a life work ahead of him to master and apply the knowledge before them.
But the greatest book isn’t written in a specific language or lies unavailable to the unread.
In a world where we learn based on print and people, we forget the oldest book in the world.
Nature is the textbook of the divine law.
The Ancients Worship Nature
The initiated students of pagans thought of Nature as a visible manifestation of the Universal Principle (Cosmic Consciousness, The All, God).
The alchemists, hermetists, Illuminati, Greek and Egyptian initiates did not made up their philosophy out of thin air or made people worship mythical gods for no reason.
Rather, it is an effort to discover the true nature of Divinity through observing Nature’s causes and effects.
In this way, they are ancient scientists of incredible feats.
The pagans, worshipers of Nature, regarded Divinity as the Creator and the universe his noblest works of Divine intellect.
And by coming to respect Nature, even to adore Nature, one can understand more completely the world they live in.
The Egyptians worship Nature in the form of the goddess “Isis”.
They concealed in many symbolism with hieroglyphs.
Greeks did the same, they called the goddess by a different name: Kore or Cere, the mother of the Eleusinian Mysteries.
And in Christianity, she is Mary – the Virgin Mother.
All of these are symbolism describing the same character.
This character is the source of well-being that the human soul is assured, the nurturer of beings.
Whether it is Isis, Kore, Ceres, Diana, or Mary, we are describing Nature in all her wonderful gifts.
There is more to Nature than what we currently understand.
And in a way, there is more way to understand Nature than what science can explain.
The Beginnings of Science
I was in a class and I remembered clearly why science was created.
A man named Plato, a Greek philosopher, believed that Nature could be understood through reason.
And because of this, all science in the 21st century was done only by rational intellect.
You see, this is limiting in itself because the world is more than just reason and intellect.
It has even caused scientists to lose their ethics, emotions, and even their intuition to suit the philosophy of rational science.
This philosophy is called “an assumption” we chose to live by.
This assumption is grounded by one’s belief or paradigm.
And it is Plato’s belief which influences and spreads the existence of today’s scientific world.
Then the “Enlightenment Era” arise during the French revolution, which gave science the victory of the century.
From this standpoint, science became the new world religion.
Why Nature is the Book of Knowledge
Nature is unalterable. It is inevitable.
What is real or false lies what we find in Nature.
By mysterious processes, Nature come into being.
And equally mysterious processes we are preserved for a certain time.
When men study the words of men, they gain a certain knowledge of passing things.
Books are filled with opinions.
Often those opinions are limited in their usefulness to certain generations and decades.
A book is written in Latin or in Japanese.
And it doesn’t last because as time goes on, the language becomes ancient.
But Nature doesn’t change.
No matter how many times the world has changed, the principles of Nature still exist.
You can resist Nature for a little time, but in the end, natural law is victorious.
When you have nothing else to learn in spirituality, you can always learn from Nature the works of the Divine.
Not only does it teaches you the principles but you get to experience it as well.
How many books and teachers can do that?
Cause and Effect Tells You About Nature
You are not bind to dogmatic doctrines or blind to follow some gurus.
False doctrines, gurus, gods and gospels come and go.
We are not perfect and so all of us are at times full of fallacy.
Yet, in the midst of this confusion, no quest for truth is hopeless.
No matter how many confusion there are in spiritual knowledge, Nature endures.
The secret doctrine or the spiritual secret is written in the sky.
And the universal mysterious are revealed in the structure of the leaf, flower and seed.
No matter where you are or what you have, you can find spiritual wisdom from a grain of sand.
Thus, no man or woman is left behind and is open to all.
With this understanding, the key to the human soul can allow you to accomplish this seeming miracle.
Nature, Our Parent
It’s natural for man to overlook the obvious.
He sees a flower and think nothing more to it.
We have progressed in civilization for thousands of years now but have forgotten the natural law.
One perfect example is living the night life and forgetting that the Moon has an effect on our consciousness.
It is the cycle of the Sun and Moon that tells when the crops are growing and when it doesn’t.
Women’s menstrual cycles are evidently affected by the Moon.
But man lived as though the Sun and Moon doesn’t exist.
They claim that the planets has nothing to do with human’s body, personality, and consciousness.
Man, the child, has built his toys in the structure of a tower but has forgotten Nature, the parent.
And this is why spiritual attainment is so confusing because we have learned so little.
Socrates once said, “Wherever a man desires to know, that is the place proper for his education; whenever he desires to know, that is the time proper for his instruction.”
How true this is.
The best place to learn about aquatic life is to visit the aquarium as you learn it instead of reading from a book.
And you know that you learn best when you feel like learning instead of being forced to learn.
Science reads, but Nature understands
Now I’m not saying that science has no purpose in understanding Nature.
A number of great works have been established and developed.
Science has accumulated a vast body of formal knowledge that makes the complicated material universe understandable.
But science differs from the wisdom of Nature.
Science accumulates mass of physical knowledge, but it often doesn’t understand what it reads.
It collects data. But it is Nature, not people, that will ultimately determine the truth of that interpretation.
All too often, scientific learning leads to atheism or agnosticism at best.
This, as we now know, comes from the origin of science where the mechanistic theory prevails.
If science could realize that the knowledge they gathered is not complete but depends on the metaphysical interpretations of the ancients, we would no longer be in confusion.
The mystery of Divinity understands the mystery of Nature.
Nature reveals its processes and procedures.
It gives us a story and it tells us her works.
Have you heard of Mother Nature?
And if so, who is the Father and the Son?
The trinity of life is Father, Mother and Son.
And that is the symbol for Spirit, Nature and You.
If you connect with Nature, you will come to know Nature.
If you are ever confused with this or that spiritual knowledge, spend your time with Nature.
In return, Nature’s wisdom will pour its light into you.
